Company Description

Pivot Bio has transformed the way fertilizer is produced and used by the world’s farmers. Synthetic nitrogen fertilizer supports the demands of today’s global food system. But it is inefficient, expensive for farmers, contributes to significant greenhouse gas emissions, depletes soils, and harms water supplies and fisheries.

Pivot Bio’s crop nutrition technologies harness nature to solve agriculture’s biggest challenge: delivering nitrogen to plants to feed a growing population without the negative impacts of synthetic fertilizer. Their biological nitrogen fertilizers are used across 5 million U.S. corn acres, replacing up to 25 percent of synthetic nitrogen fertilizers, while improving growers’ profitability and productivity.
