Company Description

Rondo is an innovative energy storage company focused on decarbonizing industrial manufacturing, which accounts for about ~20% of global CO2 emissions. The company’s thermal battery, the Rondo Heat Battery (RHB), converts intermittent renewable electricity into continuous industrial heat and power.

By combining traditional materials with streamlined manufacturing and advanced controls, Rondo’s batteries use resistive heaters to heat refractory brick material to high temperatures. This heat is stored for hours or days and is used to produce 24/7 industrial heat (e.g., industrial steam) and power, to serve a wide variety of industrial processes.

Rondo’s EU Projects span three sites across Europe, where Rondo’s technology will be deployed in different commercial settings. Each site caters to distinct industrial sectors, demonstrating the versatility and effectiveness of Rondo’s thermal batteries in reducing carbon emissions and advancing sustainable industrial practices.
