Ben Ruben joined the BE Catalyst team as Director of Construction and is based in Texas.

Ben reviews and opines on project investment opportunities which deliver carbon reduction technologies. He leads pre-investment due diligence focused on project execution and delivery plans. Post investment, he retains oversight on projects through Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Start-up, delivering certainty of outcome for BE Catalyst investments and grants.

During an eighteen-year career with Bechtel Energy, Ben built broad and deep experience, delivering some of the world’s largest Major Capital Projects. An Engineer by trade, he has spent time in all phases of project execution:

• Front End Engineering Design – Maturing technical scope of projects to develop cost and schedule estimates to support final investment decisions;
• Detailed Design and Procurement – Developing engineering designs to the maturity required for requisitioning equipment and commencing construction;
• Construction – Working through construction sequence to drive bulk and equipment installation;
  Commissioning and Start-up – Setting and driving completion of start-up systems and commencing operations.
