Caroline joined Bill Gates’ private office in 2020 where she supports strategic investment initiatives, including Breakthrough Energy Ventures.

Previously, Caroline spent five years at Cambridge Associates, first in an operations and client service capacity and then as an investment consultant. While there, she helped institutional clients build and evaluate their investment portfolios, with a focus on private investments. She also worked with the Sustainable and Impact Investing Research team to conduct due diligence on venture capital and growth equity funds investing in climate-technology companies.

Caroline began her career on the capacity building team at Accion International, working with partner microfinance institutions to support the organization’s mission of financial inclusion.

Caroline holds an MBA from IE Business School and a BA in International Studies and Spanish from Boston College. She also volunteers with Net Impact and SSC Venture Partners.
