Previously, Christian worked at Cascade Asset Management Company, the investment office that manages the assets of Bill Gates and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Trust. In this role, he focused on Bill’s investments in early-stage technology companies and venture capital funds. Prior to that, he was a Principal at Novus Energy Partners, a cleantech venture capital fund.

He has also served in strategic or operating roles at Honeywell, Schlumberger, and Boeing. He began his career as an aerospace engineer designing next-generation spacecraft for NASA at Phantom Works, the research and special projects arm of Boeing.

Christian has a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
