Christina comes to Breakthrough Energy after a decade of working with leading tech companies, non-profits, issue-based advocacy initiatives, and electoral campaigns, globally—executing programming to build their brands, tell their story, and engage & mobilize their communities. At her core, she’s a storyteller, producing educational information and bringing stories to life that are too often left out of the mainstream.
She’s advised and ran programming for the ACLU, Afropunk, BeautyCounter, Black Economic Alliance, BlackPAC, Etsy, FAMM, Facebook, Funders’ Committee for Civic Participation, Internet.org, iVote, the Leadership Conference On Civil and Human Rights, Represent Justice, Supermajority, UFCW, and United Way. Her expertise is in strategic planning, fundraising, training & development, and digital strategy with a focus on content & messaging, paid media, email marketing, SMS, and reporting & analytics. She was most recently Supermajority Education Fund’s head of Content and Audience Development leading them through an organizational rebranding, rapid and steady community growth, and strategic development running their news/media, social, and creative departments. Prior to that, she was the Digital Director for Represent Justice – a social impact campaign launched with the film ‘Just Mercy’ to raise awareness about bias in the criminal justice system.
Priding herself on her rural roots, Christina hails from the small town of Forsyth, IL. She’s a classically trained ballet and contemporary dancer. In her free time, she cooks, travels, and does yoga!
