Conor joined Breakthrough Energy in August 2020 as a Program Manager. He is part of the U.S. Policy and Advocacy Team that is working on BE’s policy, political, and external affairs work. Conor is responsible for supporting the organization’s campaign and advocacy work across its climate and clean energy programs through project management, internal and external stakeholder engagement, asset creation, and event planning.
Prior to joining Breakthrough Energy, Conor worked as the Chief of Staff to the Chief Program Officer and Senior States Director for Organizing Corps 2020, a project of the Democratic National Committee. Conor has a decade of experience in campaigning, organizing, training, policy, writing, research, education, project management, and leadership, seen through his work on Capitol Hill, Obama 2012, Teach for America, Center for American Progress, Bernie 2016, Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, 270 Strategies, and co-founding the non-profit Resistance School.
Conor holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Virginia Tech. He lives with his wife Charline in Reston, Virginia. In his spare time, Conor can be found reading, writing, cooking, hiking, and playing basketball.
