Diego is a Senior Associate Breakthrough Energy’s U.S. Policy and Advocacy team. In his role, Diego advances strategies and tactics that support the implementation of new federal policies and tax credits to speed up the deployment of clean energy technologies within the U.S. and globally.
Prior to Breakthrough Energy, Diego worked as a Senior Policy Associate at Boundary Stone Partners where he worked on the development and implementation of federal clean energy policies, regulations, and tax credits with a focus on solar and energy storage. Additionally, Diego worked as a Policy Manager at the Solar Energy Manufacturers for America (SEMA) Coalition where he developed and advocated for policies to support the establishment of a resilient domestic solar manufacturing supply chain.
Diego holds a B.S. in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of Maryland and a M.S. in Energy Policy and Climate from Johns Hopkins University. He is also an Aspen Institute Future Climate Leader. Outside of work, Diego enjoys watching and playing soccer, cooking, and photography.
