James is a Director on the Catalyst team, where he leads investments in projects utilizing emerging climate technologies that reduce emissions.

Before joining Breakthrough Energy, James was a member of the private equity team at LS Power, where he was responsible for executing acquisitions and project financings for infrastructure assets, with a core focus on power, renewables and the energy transition.

Prior to LS Power, James was with Macquarie Capital as part of the infrastructure & energy principal investing and advisory teams. He began his career with the Project Finance group at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.

James received his BA in Finance and Economics from Bentley University.
