Maggie is the Innovation Policy Manager on the US Policy and Advocacy team and is based in Washington DC. She advances strategic policy priorities in clean energy innovation, industrial decarbonization, and the adoption of emerging clean technologies both domestically and internationally.
Before joining Breakthrough Energy, Maggie was a Manager at Environmental Defense Fund, a global nonprofit focused on tackling climate change, where she advocated for policy solutions to scale innovative climate technologies and helped manage the organization’s engagement at multilateral forums. Maggie has also worked at the United Nations to integrate the perspectives and priorities of young people into climate-related decision making, including by supporting the launch of the Secretary-General’s Youth Advisory Group on Climate Change in 2020. From 2016 to 2018, she worked on energy and environment policy issues in the U.S. Senate.
Maggie holds a Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of the Environment and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Georgetown University. She enjoys exploring new places, getting outside to hike or trail run, and cooking with her family.
