Meghan has a passion for developing innovative, early-stage technologies into scalable solutions that address significant problems. Prior to joining BEV, Meghan worked at the Harvard University Office of Technology Development (OTD), commercializing innovations from Harvard research labs. Meghan worked on over thirty university spinouts spanning the physical sciences, including energy storage, additive manufacturing, sustainable materials, research tools, and food and agriculture. She was responsible for building IP portfolios, assessing competitive landscapes, engaging with industry and investors, and structuring licenses. She also ran OTD’s competitive business development fellowship program, recruiting and mentoring researchers from across the University.
Meghan started her career in research and development at an early-stage biotechnology company developing novel biomaterials. She earned her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Tufts University, where she was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow. Her research focused on sustainable silk protein-based materials. She holds multiple patents from her time in academia and industry. Meghan received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University.
