Shreya Shah is an Associate Director, Technology on the Catalyst team and is based in Texas. Shreya leads technical evaluations and due diligence for investments in the clean tech space.

Shreya is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in developing and scaling First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) technologies from lab to commercial scale. Before joining Breakthrough Energy, Shreya served as Vice President of Product Development and an advisor to the board of directors at Syzygy Plasmonics, where she was instrumental in driving product innovation and the commercial deployment of sustainable energy solutions in the chemical manufacturing space, bringing emerging technologies to market.

Shreya holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Washington State University and has been recognized for her contributions to the hydrogen and clean energy sectors, including being named one of the Top 10 Innovators in Hydrogen in 2023. She has worked with multidisciplinary teams across various technology platforms to advance carbon reduction and net-zero emission goals.

Outside of work, Shreya enjoys volunteering with organizations to inspire young girls in STEM, experimenting with cooking, and exploring new places with her family.
