Sumble Farooqi is the Director of Finance at Breakthrough Energy Ventures, where she leads financial strategy, reporting, and operational efficiency. Her focus is on optimizing financial reporting processes, reducing risk, and supporting limited partners and investors, while establishing best-in-class financial practices.

Previously, Sumble was the Senior Financial Controller at Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners. She managed fund liquidity, financial reporting, and implemented robust financial controls, contributing to enhanced operational efficiency and financial growth. Her experience includes roles as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Genesis Park, L.P., and Senior Financial Analyst at Amazon, where she focused on revenue growth strategies. Sumble began her career at Salient Partners, L.P., D.E. Shaw & Co. LLC, and Ernst & Young LLP, specializing in financial reporting and auditing.

Sumble holds an MBA in Financial Businesses from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Baruch College. Sumble is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.
