Terence joined the Fellows team at Breakthrough Energy in 2023. As Manager, Review and Selection, Terence is responsible for managing the recruitment, evaluation, and selection of new Fellows, in addition to supporting current cohorts.

Terence holds an MBA from UC Berkeley Haas and an MS/BS in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Johns Hopkins.

Terence is passionate about new technology commercialization and has spent his career working for mission-driven deep tech startups in chemicals and synthetic biology. Prior to Breakthrough, Terence worked in program management and strategic partnerships at an alternative proteins company, commercializing animal-free proteins for consumer goods. Prior to that, he worked as a research chemical engineer in downstream processing, process scale-up / scale-down, and catalyst development.

In his free time, you can find him zooming around the Bay Area on his road and gravel bikes. He loves exploring the outdoors and is a competitive homebrewer.
