Zeb is a Research Scientist on the Breakthrough Energy Contrails team. His work includes scientific modeling, data science, and cloud computing. His research focuses on contrail forecasting and uncertainty as well as satellite validation.
Before joining Breakthrough Energy, Zeb taught high school mathematics and engineering. He’s also worked on optimization and modeling problems for the electric distribution grid. He joined the Breakthrough Contrails project in its infancy at Orca Sciences.
Zeb received his BA from Hampshire College and his PhD in mathematics from Dartmouth College. His mathematical interests include analytic and computational number theory. Zeb is an avid rock climber and backcountry skier. He lives in Utah where he is motivated to discover unexplored adventure in the desert or mountains.
