Bloom Biorenewables has developed the first technology to selectively convert the most abundant biopolymers on Earth – cellulose & lignin – into added-value chemical products. With its aldehyde-assisted fractionation (AAF) technology, Bloom efficiently separates the cellulose fraction while stabilizing lignin polymers and hemicellulose-derived sugars. These stabilized structures allow, for the first time, the full potential of lignin and hemicellulose to be valorized. The vision is to enable an efficient utilisation of resources and promote the shift towards a green and circular society.
