Julie is a Manager on the Partnerships team at Breakthrough Energy. In her role, Julie leads Strategy & Operations for the team, including partnership development and operational deployment. Julie works across Breakthrough Energy to operationalize cooperative efforts between our teams, and with our network of BE partners to channel collaboration on climate-focused initiatives to actionable outcomes. Julie joined Gates Ventures, Bill Gates’s private office in January 2020 to support the scale up of the growing Breakthrough Energy.

Prior to Gates Ventures, Julie worked at Hamilton Place Strategies (HPS). She holds a B.A. in Public Policy from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan. Julie is based in San Francisco and spends much of her time outdoors or with a book in hand.
